There are so many sorts of things I've fallen more and more in love with over time, theorem paintings very much one of them. I really love the super folky early theorems on velvet, but a crisp watercolor theorem on paper like this one satisfies in a whole different way; what a jewel-like thing this ripening pear on its stem is, with a few rich green leaves setting it off just perfectly. So contemporary feeling, too; a perfectly resolved, very lovely thing.
11 1/2" x 9" in very good condition, with a little toning / minor stains to the paper, not detracting.
