A little thing, but really a beauty, which I believe dates to the 1860s or so. I'd love to know what the good news was that Julia E. Day--who signed it in pencil at lower right--was delivering! I believe it is an etching rather than a drawing, very carefully hand-colored with watercolors. This would be really lovely framed and would make a great gift to for many happy occasions!
2 5/8" x 1 9/16". Light age toning / staining around the edges; overall very good condition.
