It's the massive scale of this woman's hat that really makes this drawing for me (which, in absence of legs to sturdy her would most definitely cause her to topple!), though I love the detailing her jewelry and the flourishes on her dress too. The drawing was done on an semi-translucent onion skin type paper in graphite, then carefully cut out and pasted onto card, with a red ribbon threaded through two holes at top that I believe likely bound it with some others. Signed ZD and dated 1910.
9" x 6" and in overall good condition, with some scattered smearing/staining and corner wear/small corner folds to the white card.
