Happy New Year! This antique wooden horn is a fun one to play, trumpeting very loudly, rather like a kazoo, and with a finger hole too for wavering the sound. Which was a happy discovery; I purchased it, sound unheard, just because I found it quite beautiful. Turned/carved from one piece of wood, in original creamy white paint, and with a great bentwood (bent reed?) handle that enhances a sense of specialness. A sweet thing.
11 1/2" t. 1 7/8" d at opening, 2" across at handle. Good antique condition, sturdy and sound and blows just as it should. Some loss around the exterior lip of the horn end, as documented. Near that end the initials AP (I believe) are scratched into the paint. Stands up squarely on that end.
