Woman in Garden with One Raised Finger, Marvelous Late 19th Century Graphite and Crayon Folk Drawing, Period Frame

Regular price $135.00

This one I know was found in Maine, pulled from the personal collection of an artist--and I purchased a few more, all portraits of women, by the same person, which I will list soon. Later 19th century I believe, and reminding me a bit of the drawings of Wayne Blouch of Pennsylvania (which I presented in collaboration with Ricco Maresca gallery) for their specificity and singularity. Her hair, and her hands, and her tiny feet especially do it for me! And what big eyes she has! Better in person, really a charmer.

10 1/8" x 8 3/8" framed. Paper size of drawing" 6" x 4 1/8". Graphite and crayon on natural colored paper. I recently purchased this lovely carved antique frame, with original wooden back, which I thought suited her very well so popped her in it, mounted by a couple of bits of archival tape to a piece of card.
