So lovely. I love the piecework eight point stars here, but for me this one is very much about the delicacy and quiet intensity of the hand-stitched quilting, which detail photos best convey. 19th century American, cotton fabric, hand-pieced and hand-sewn.
16 1/2" x 13 1/2". General wear and age, a few areas showing old, light stains that just feel all of a piece with it, sound and not at all fragile, clean and odor-free, all the better and more special feeling in hand.
