The pale, dry wood on this whimsy shows some stains--patcheds of red, and green and black, as if it landed in the marker drawer for a while and absorbed a few bleeds. I really like the form, though, with these very thin rails to the "cage" and nice pointy finial on top, making it feel a bit like an aerodynamic dart, ready to be thrown at a target! The ball is very tight in the cage, too, such that it can be positioned mid-way up or wherever and will stay there.
6 3/4" t x 3/4" wide and deep. Stains as noted and documented, and a somewhat more rustic than refined feeling. Will stand on its own on a flat surface though the bottom has a bit of roundedness to it.
