I splurged a bit on this nude by my standards, purchased at the Nashville show from an Iowa based dealer from whom I wished to buy everything--because for me, as far as carved nudes go, she is just my sort. I want to describe her as WPA era specifically because she seems so proud and strong, really quite heroic feeling, while also very human, not a fantasy; standing feet together on that small wooden base she seems actually as if willing herself into existence, literally in the process of carving out space. And, a different aspect revealed from every point of view--proud, self-conscious, determined, seductive, and, from her excellent back side, looking rather relaxed.
10" t x 2 3/4" w; base 3 1/16" x 3". Very good condition, all the better in hand. Completely sturdy and square on her steel base.
