No One To Love, Sad Little Old Black Dog Watercolor by Jester

Seems possible the "Jester" cited on this little watercolor was the source rather than the maker of the watercolor (i.e. this was done after a printed cartoon) but I'm not at all sure and turn up nothing with a quick search. No real matter, it's all about this particular lonely and longing and howling to the sky old dog. No one to love--none to caress & c. (I assume "c" for care, though maybe cuddle!)

2 13/16" x 2 9/16". Earlyish 20th c. I believe, black ink/watercolor on wove, some toning as evident.
