Quite a looker, and quite a mustache! I'm not sure I ever drew the connection between strong man/wrestler postures and those of roosters, but this sure brings that home; cock-a-doodle-doo! And really excellent framing here I think, the oval mask making him feel all the more like a object/specimen being closely inspected, as if through a scope, while the public setting--makeshift looking wall behind him, view of park tables and chairs to the right--gives the sense of him being just one in a long line of of characters waiting for their moment to pose.
5 1/16" x 3 1/2". Real photo postcard, very good condition (two very fine and light surface marks outside the oval, just below his feet, running vertically, barely evident), early 20th c, European I believe. Reads bright and crisp.
