This guy possesses about as much frog spirit as any folk frog I've ever seen, and looks very much as if ready to chirp, too. I don't know his specific origins, but he was crafted with a great deal of care, carved of light weight wood (the body is wood, not papier mache), with applied front and back legs and terrific big eyes. Terrific green paint with bright red mouth and mustardy yellow belly. I must say, every time I look at him I am surprised by his existence, a little wonder!
2 3/8" x 2 1/4" x 1 3/8" t. Excellent vintage condition, mid-ish 20th c. or so I would guess.
