Lovely 19th Century Walnut Whimsy Rattle with Asymetrical Handle

I love these sorts of folk art rattles, and this is a lovely antique example, carved of walnut. And unusual in my experience for having the handle extend down from one side rather than the center. Great form, beautiful wear to the handle, sturdy and substantial, lovely.

7 1/4" x 3 1/8" x 3". Excellent antique condition.
