I'm not fixated on double exposure photos for their own sake, but sometimes, when the stars align, super evocative, otherworldly sorts of images emerge as a result. I find that to be very much the case here, and am fairly obsessed with this one--with the second image that of a man with what look to be praying hands, standing like a spectre over this young woman, here eyes cast upward too. almost as if she's summoned him. And the black of his suit/robe and this cascading arch of a form seem to frame her, specifically, as if a sort of alter. And then, look closely--hanging on the wall in rather an odd spot, a small portrait (or is it a reflection?!) of a man, as if in conversation with them. This is another I could look at all day and again tomorrow and then again some more.
4 1/4" x 3 1/8". Very good condition, miniature/midget real photo postcard, c. 1920s I believe.
