Handsome Man with Mustache, Bowler, and Unbuttoned Buttons, Antique Tintype

Just a terrific portrait I think. Very handsome and appearing very at ease, including for the gape between the unbuttoned buttons on his vest. (Looks as if he might reach inside and pull out four Aces! ) I also really like the effect of the slightly wavering arches above and below framing him, as if he were being viewed through a makeshift scope. The fabric draped over the arm of the chair lends a sort of grandmotherly sweetness, too.

 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". Good condition. One surface stain over right armpit, which I have not tried to wipe off.
