A little gem of an old folk art painting I think, oil on academy-type board. The whole thing has a glow about it, perfectly encapsulated in tiny orange windows of the cabin! (And the fact that that two unlit windows are painted blue I think tells us that blue here equals darkness and this is a night scene, with that a full moon rather than the sun peeking through the trees. With an especially excellent little tree standing along on the back at left, and nicely visceral brush strokes everywhere.
6 1/4" x 6 1/4". Good antique condition, with a bit of minor paint loss at corners and along far edges. Late 19th century or so I believe.
