Flowers, Urn, Chair, Chaise, Rug, Wonderful 19th Century Watercolor Cutout

Completely charming! I might guess this was painted and cut out in anticipation of mounting in an early scrap book, maybe with a few cutout figures to be positioned as its inhabitants. Or maybe it was intended as the backdrop for a never ending parade of finely dressed handmade paper dolls! I'm not certain, but one can certainly imagine lives unfolding amid this delight of a stage set. Details give a sense of how wonderfully done, right down to this small single potted flower standing in the shade of the large bloom filled urn. Mid 1800s I believe, and would be great framed with a backdrop of most any color--or patterned wallpaper!

6 1/8" x 6 1/4". Very good condition, feels very crisp, color very rich and bright.
