Incredible! Exceptionally crafted from head to toe, and I find this old doll tremendously expressive and fantastically beautiful; really, he just breaks my heart. The head, hands and feet/legs up to the knees are all super sensitively hand-carved and painted, his wool shirt and pants beautifully tailored, and then white woolen undergarments underneath (I have not tried to remove his clothing underneath; photos show what I can easily see.) Other than the gray seam/basting tape on the inside of the waist of his paints, which has deteriorated, he is in excellent condition, with no issues whatsoever. Really a special doll if I ever I saw one, and I think quite a work of art!
26" tall x 8 1/4" wide x 4" deep. I would guess 1940s or so but am not completely certain.
