I found this one at a shop in New Hampshire, just after leaving the very fancy New Hampshire Antiques Show in Manchester--and after looking at many very very precious things it felt like a much welcome re-grounding, literal and figural! Pine construction, original red paint, a mish mosh of wiggle nail (zigzag) reinforcements across the top-- not the least bit precious about it but solid and sturdy and honest and cheerful and a great pedestal for all sorts of other things.
11 3.8" x 10 3/4" x 11" t. Good well used condition, great patina, solid and sturdy. C. 1930s-40s I would guess.
