Wonderful Presumed Antique Small Folk Art Watercolor of Woodwose (?) on Laid Paper

One of my very favorites of the week, which I take for a Woodwose (akin to Sasquatch/Bigfoot) or some similar sort of mythical creature--and a super endearing one! I found this watercolor on laid digging through a pile that included mostly earlier 19th century European ink and watercolor drawings, and while not completely certain I would guess that is from whence he came too, though he feels about as contemporary and immediate as it gets!  Charmer.

4 3/16" x 3 1/4" and in excellent condition, just a couple of minor, very small toning spots, watercolor on wove, no visible watermark.
