Box with Key and Handsome Hen, Sweet c. 1940s Snapshot, Framed As Found

I love a photo of a kid or adolescent standing proudly beside a prized farm animal, and here what a good combination of slightly awkward looking young man and very handsome hen! She's of the Plymouth Rock variety, I believe, and he looks to me pretty smitten with her! I also really like that just to the right of the stump upon which she is perched we glimpse a single key hanging from his belt. I'd call this a valentine of just my sort!

Framed: 7 5/8" x 5 5/8". Sight 6 5/8" x 4 5/8". Glossy surface snapshot, c. 1940s or so I would guess. Framed as found, under glass, where I believe it has lived for a good long time.
