She's a dream and her little dog is too. Early 19th century continental European I believe, oil on tin. Feels all about the cusp of womanhood to me, a high blush on this young woman's cheeks as she turns her to meet the gaze of the viewer, showing a little leg as she does. And this little dog peeking out behind her skirt, looking some mix of eager and anxious, one assumes a metaphor for her state of being too. Details give a good sense, with light crazing all over which I personally love. Fabulous--and a bit larger than one would expect it to be, very much to the good.
In what I believe is the original gold gilded frame, as found (not under glass): 12 9/16" x 10 9/16". Painting--oil on tin-- 10 1/4" x 8 1/4". All in very good condition, light crazing all over as noted. Minor top left corner loss to painting visible just inside the frame. Detail photos give the best sense.
