What a beautiful boy, and what a striking photograph. I have to think he is French, or perhaps Italian, black turtleneck and all. His face in soft focus, shadowy-paintely backdrop behind him, making the image all the moodier, studio lights illuminating his bare legs most of all. And that wonderful tile floor. Feels like he is about to get on that bike and pedal straight onto a film set! Lovely.
4 7/8" x 3 7/8", good condition, one small imperfection showing white at upper right. First decade or so 20th century I believe.
