This and a second page today (listed separately) from the same autograph album, of an Ernest Hills, spanning 1884-88. I typically keep things in tact but there was not much else in there so I extracted the pages with Spencerian calligraphy. And what a lovely pair of red inked hearts. I've seen a lot of Spencerian birds, and flourishes of all sorts on autograph pages like this, but not very often dangling hearts like this. And I love the combination of "Be Happy" and "Respectfully"!
5 7/8" x 3 1/2". Good condition, some toning and stains as evident. Paper is smooth and white--the reverse side of a printed divider page in the album, with butterfly on branch on reverse.
