I'll never pass by a handmade paper doll of this sort--the best and purest, simply cut from lined paper, folded for symmetry, with graphite drawn face, and a single dress that fits right over her head. Wonderful shape to her body, with these great arching shoulders tapering to points, and tiny feet below. And best of all her face, with sharply pointed nose that looks rather like the beak of a bird, and nicely untamed hair!
3 1/2" t x 2 1/8" w. Very good condition, 19th century American I believe, found in New England.
