A bit underexposed, but pretty special nonetheless, including for the simple handwritten caption on the back: "The Squirrels." And squirrels indeed, a bushy tailed pair, inside this cage, which I'd like to think was just temporary shelter before they were released back into the wild--but that may well not have been the case! Our man here, in his suit and hat, does look fairly reverent however, and the white picket fence behind him suggests the domestic, so perhaps he made dear pets of them!
