This is one of my favorite recent finds, for the box alone! Even better that it still include this wonderful little booklet suggesting an exhaustive array of plans for arranging the white painted houses, pitched roofs, trees, bushes, gates, and swimming pools inside! It appears that all of the original pieces are here, and in good shape, and I find them the whole set completely charming.
German, late 19th/early 20th century I believe. There is some wear/aging to the paint on the blocks and a bit of splitting to the surface of the wood here and there, but the box and booklet are in excellent condition and overall it's about as good as could be! Box measures 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 2". The house measure about 1 1/2" wide.
