The faces, and most of all the expressions on the faces, of these three just kills me. The young man looks some combination of bored, haunted, and scared out of his mind, perhaps newly betrothed (or just married?) to the woman on the cozy bench beside him, who appears to be smiling, at least with her eyes, though also looks pretty anxious! And then his bespeckled sister, I would guess, to his left, her chair over and back a few inches, and making me think she might be wishing to continue inching her way out of the picture! Just loaded with human truths, I think.
