The combination of photo and mount together really makes this one I think--I can just envision this tough young street-smart waif wandering around lower Manhattan a hundred years ago or so. And I can't help but to worry and wonder about him and his fate from across the distance of time as if he were my own, so immediate this photo makes him feel. According the NY Public Library, E.L Jenkins operated at three locations in Manhattan over time, the Front Street location from 1915-1932.
4 1/16" x 3" overall. Good condition with some scattered stains to the card that suit it just right.
