Yellow Pear with Orange Patch, c. 1910 Watercolor

I know this watercolor dates to 1910 or so, and was done by the same person as the Physics notebooks listed today. (Who I do think was more interested in art than science!) Nicely done, and I must say I find the orange patch on this yellow pear rather intriguing, as if the painting were documenting some sort of fruit disease or condition, presenting like a large mole! 

9 7/16" x 7 1/2", very good condition.
