Yellow and More Yellow: Perfectly Sharpened Mixed Lot of Drawing Pencils in Compton Box

Regular price $25.00

Perhaps there is nothing as beautiful as a yellow pencil with a very sharp point--formally, and as potential embodied, too. And though much stained, what a perfect yellow box, too.  I've found records for W.S. Greenough, Boston, dating to as early as the 1860s, but believe this box likely dates to the earlyish 20th c. The pencils are a mix of Compton's, Dixon, Mongol, Ward's Boston, and a few others, some with erasers, some without, all in that perfect yellow.  So satisfying.

Box measures 7 3/4" x 2" x 3/4".All pencils shown included. Damage to the exterior of the box as documented, but structurally sturdy and sound and closes tight.
