One sees whimsy pliers along these lines from time to time, and I once had a pair that was actually four pairs, with the handles folding out and then out again, yielding progressively smaller pliers. This one I really like for the lines of it, both in terms of the arching handles that close to form a loop, and for the linear incisions and angled cuts on the pliers end, creating a satisfying geometry.
6 9/16 x 2 1/8” w x 1/2”. C. 1940s/50s or so I'd guess. Lightly varnished, in very good shape, and they will stand up on the pliers end when fully opened.
