Great Old Scratch Made Crate Wood Folk Art Painted Brick Church

Regular price $150.00

The creamy white paint (especially those arched windows) against unpainted wood and green roof on this church completely do it for me. I found this one along with two houses the other day in Maine, and while certainly made by the same person, 1920s-30s I would guess, each feels like its own special thing and is of substantial scale, so I am listing individually. Made from scratch using crate wood (with the print on the wood visible inside), with painstakingly hand-painted brick and graphite details. Wonderful proportions, super graphic, great all the way around, very charming; just my kind of church! And it reads 10:20 on all of the clocks.

12 1/4” t x 11” l x 5 3/8” w. Very good condition, one split in the wood of the roof on one side presenting no issues; very sturdy and sound.
