A charmer of an old milking stool, very early 20th century I believe, the form of which is perfectly suited for milking indeed, with a bit of a pitch to the seat, allowing one to get right up under those udders! But of course what sold me is the spectacular surface, white paint on iron, which has aged to yield a pattern reminding one quite a bit of a black and white speckled cow:) And then this charming star cut out on the little shelf below, making it feel like a prized one. Wonderful, and easy to carry around and plop down anywhere. The surface is also plenty level to set things atop.
12" t x 9 1/4" d . Fabulous patina, sturdy and sound.
