As sweet an old carved dog as I think I've had, nose to tail, and I'm a bit loathe to part with this one. The eyes seem to me to be inlaid nails though it's a bit hard to tell; definitely they're just right for this very empathetic (and very truly dog like) face, whatever the case. Wonderfully carved long ears and stub tail, all stained black but for the pink nose. Really a charmer, I'd guess 1920s-30s or so.
5 1/2" l x 3 11/16" t x 1 3/8" w. Very good condition, perfectly aged. No repairs and steady on its feet.
