What a beauty, and what wonderful detail on this portrait of a young Native American woman, with marvelous patterning composed of dots and dots inside of dots which also reminds me of Aboriginal Australian paintings. It seems just right to have been done on a cardboard barrel lid (Eaton Candy Co, Cooperstown NY), reminiscent of the painted hide of a drum or shield. Wonderfully graphic from a distance and beautifully detailed from a'near.
