A relatively simple thing, but to my eye an incredibly satisfying one, all the better for the aging to the card on which the cut silhouette is mounted, amplifying its great sense of presence. Hand-written at the top of the card is what looks to read Calicas, and again on reverse, but there looking more like Calias, so who knows? In any case, I'd guess a school girl creation dating to the early 20th century or so. I especially love the blue rimmed button at top giving her a tiny head!
11 1/8” x 9 1/16”” as mounted on card. Wear and a bit of tearing around the edges as evident. Very much deserving of a great frame. Will be carefully packaged (as is everything!) for shipping.
