Woman Amid Geometries, 1940s Snapshot

Regular price $12.00

I just think the interplay of geometries in this small 1943 snapshot is terrific, between those crisp, triangular window treatments and triangular struts to the right of our woman's feet, and all of the straight lines of the stairs and rails and their criss-crossing shadows. All the perfect match for the subject of the photo, a stern-faced Ms. Harlow (looks like Ann but handwriting on reverse is a bit hard to read) in her crisp  Army uniform (2nd company, 1st battalion, 4th regiment I believe it reads on revers.) I would bet crisp hospital corners on the bedsheets too here at the Princess Issena Hotel in Daytona!

2 7/8 x 2 3/8 and in very good condition.
