WISC 1949 Object Assembly Test Puzzle: Horse

Regular price $20.00

I had one set of these Wechsler IQ test puzzles a few years ago and have always kept an eye out for more, because--especially when enjoyed outside the confines of being tested!-- I think the design of them is just terrific. These I believe are first, 1949 edition, and I'm listing them as I think they make great little presents--even Valentines!  The puzzles are made of a nice weight tan chipboard with a bit of a sheen and black printed details, each in their own sharp, clinical looking dark green box with silvery white print and one initial--"H" for horse in this case, at lower right.

The WISC Test, which I believe continues to be used, is an IQ test administered to children between ages 6 and 16.  Developed by David Wechsler and individually administered, the test is organized into subtests relating to measuring verbal IQ, performance IQ, and full scale IQ. The puzzles are part of the Perceptual Reasoning portion of the test, targeting visual-spatial reasoning skills.

Very good condition, with just a bit of rippling to the green paper covering the box. Box measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 5/8".
