Found in New Hampshire yesterday, where I bet it was painted, or else not far across the border to a neighboring state, as the sprawling farmhouse looks very familiar to these parts. No masterpiece, but I think it's a great one from an atmospheric standpoint, and it's the sort of painting that makes me want to build a salon style wall of folk art paintings of farms and farmhouses, or just houses in general--or perhaps just all about shades of green! Signed Tooms at lower right.
18 1/8" x 12 7/8", oil on canvas. There is a hole in the canvas at center top and general wear all over. With a sting on the back for hanging. 1930s or so I would guess.
