"We Try Harder" was the tagline of Avis car rental, dubbed by Paula Green in 1962 when the then-No. 2 car rental company tried to explain to its new ad agency why anyone would choose the runner-up brand over industry leader Hertz. Being a fairly hard-trier myself, I am quite partial to the phrase in signifying a way of being, and would wear it as a badge of honor!

1 1/2" d. A few dark spots along the right edge on the front, and some rusting on the back. The stick pin on the back terminates in a straight edge, so I think best worn through a button hole.
