I found this one in New Hampshire, but am pretty sure it was taken at Old Orchard Beach in southern Maine, where I've learned donkey pulled peanut shaped carts selling "Peanutine," a peanut and molasses confection made in Old Orchard, were a thing in the 1890s to early 1900s--preceding the invention of the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile by a good 40 years! I've found a few images of tourist postcards produced in the first decade of the 1900s featuring Peanutine wagons, but not many straight photo postcards--and no cyanotypes, which here I think has the effect of making the sight feel all the more surreal!
5 7/16" x 3 7/16" and in very good condition, unused postcard back.
