This is an early one, late 19th c/early 20th c. I believe, retaining some of its original paint and still whistling perfectly. With a wooden mouth piece at the end of the tail feathers, beak open to emit the sound, and a sweet round of wood for the base, which its stands on with wire legs. A perfect one to perch somewhere and use for summoning everyone to dinner!
4 7/8" t x 2 15/16" w x 1 7/16" diameter at base. Good condition, sound and standing sturdy, with paint loss as evident.
