I think I'll never get over the magic of antique pressed seaweed/sea moss specimens, and really love the wispiness and delicacy of these six, which feel rather as if still waving in the water and also remind me a bit of Rorschach ink blots, where one might see all sorts of things in them. The specimens were adhered to ruled paper, then mounted in a grid to a backing sheet quite long ago I believe (my guess is their presentation here is how they were originally mounted in an album.) I'd probably frame them up just as is, but they could easily be trimmed to separate.
Overall: 11 3/8" x 9 1/2". Individual specimens about 3 1/2 x 4 1/2". Very good condition, with great color. There is just a little loss to the center left specimen.
