I'm forever on the hunt for old hand-drawn maps, and anything with naive hand-inked lettering of this sort (especially those serif capitals spelling out Franklin County at the top!) And, being from Massachusetts and driving through various towns in Franklin County (MA's most rural county) with some frequency, I was especially delighted to find this one. Perhaps inspiration for a driving trip around MA's beautiful Connecticut River Valley, or for a high school student headed to Deerfield Academy (so that they might know where they are!) or of course a wonderful gift for any Franklin County native or resident.
5 7/8" x 4 7/8". Very good condition, 19th century, black ink on wove. Under glass in antique gilded frame, as found.
