Nicely Mysterious and Very Delicate Feeling Antique Mounted Photo of a Single Silver Button (?)

I believe this is an albumen photograph of a fine silver button, and presuming so, clearly a prized one. But to me eye at least it also evinces the craggy face of the moon or a planet captured in fine detail, a wonderful ambiguity of micro or macro, and with the oval shape of the hand-cut photo mounted to the card making me think of a precious egg too. A quiet, delicate feeling, very lovely thing.

4 1/2" x 2 1/2" as mounted. Later 19th century I believe. Good condition, with a few smudges and small toning spots to the card, I don't think at all detracting.
