A curious one, which seems to have been taken in a museum, with signage on the door and next to the pictures hanging on the walls to either side, just out of readable reach. I presume the batten door itself is a very early American one, with what looks to be a hole worn through at the center and with early windsor chairs framing it at either side, as if guards at the--literal--door. Framing and more framing and more framing, and I always love an old photo documenting a period approach to the art of display.
3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and in very good condition. Unusued postcard back.
