This is one of five drawings on ledger paper I am listing, all found together, with some 19th c. writing on some of the pages, but the drawings done a few decades later, I'm guessing 1920s or 30s, when a kid, or a couple of them, got a hold of the ledger. I've got a special love for a battle scene like this drawn by an 8 or 9 year old, playing out so viscerally across the page that one can see it's vividness in that child's imagination, unfolding in real time. This one is completely that, a total flurry, completely alive and clearly a great release of pent up energy!
8 1/8 x 13 1/8. Good condition, with smudging here and there, all to the good.
