I have no idea the story behind this carving, but I think it's pretty cool! If Brancusi were to carve a whimsy, perhaps this is the sort of one he might make. There are a couple of round holes carved through the sides that suggest perhaps it was once part of something larger, or had plans to be, but I have no idea. As it stands--and it stands vertically on its own--I think it makes a pretty interesting object to set on a shelf or add to a collection of carvings, or perhaps to incorporate into something new!
15 1/4" long x 1 5/8" wide x 1 1/2" deep and in great condition. It definitely has some years on it but I'm not sure of the age.
