Really a wonderful old watercolor, I found this in a zip lock bag buried in a far corner of an antique shop in New Hampshire. To me it feels a little Japanese, a little Art Nouveau, and a little Arts and Crafts, and exactly right, with the unusual color palette and combination of elements giving it a real sense of specialness.
I'd think first quarter of the 20th century, and done of a very thin woven paper the weight of rice paper. 7 1/8" x 5 1/8". The colors, and the blue-gray ground particularly, I would say are even a little deeper/richer than photos capture. Overall good condition, with loss to the top left edge of the paper, a few clean tears and wear along the edges and corners -- which to me just add to the aura of this lovely little painting!
