The Observers Book of Astronomy by Patrick Moore, First Edition, 1962

Regular price $22.00

I picked up this astronomy book especially as it provides a nice guide to the constellations and the chief stars comprising them, and is the perfect little pocket-sized book to take camping or keep in the car or backpack. The Observer’s Books were a British series published by the Frederick Warne & Co from 1937 to 2003 covering a large spectrum of topics, from animals to plants to hobbies to architecture. This 1962 first edition copy, formerly the property of the West Peabody Branch library in MA, includes 14 full colour plates, 50 black-and-white plates and numerous diagrams.

5 3/4" x 3 5/8" x 3/4"; 224 pages. The back end page has a large tear and there is plenty of wear to the cover and spine, but overall good used condition.
